How does GoalSpan integrate with BambooHR?

How do I enable the GoalSpan integration?

Log in to your GoalSpan account and click Integration from the main menu.

Enter your BambooHR login URL. Do not include https://. If my URL is https://helpcontent.bamboohr.com, my URL would be helpcontent.bamboohr.com.

Uncheck Launch account if you do not want to immediately launch all your employee accounts and new accounts added after the integration.

Click Save, and you will be redirected to your BambooHR account login page. Once you log in, you will arrive back at GoalSpan after the connection and be automatically assigned an API key.

Employee data from BambooHR will automatically sync with GoalSpan shortly after an established connection. After connecting, a data sync will occur every 15 minutes.


What is the Launch Account option?

Enabling the Launch Account option means that every time you add a new employee to BambooHR, they will also be added to GoalSpan automatically and receive an email to log in to their GoalSpan account.

If you would like to connect to BambooHR and set up GoalSpan before launching employees, you will need to launch these employees manually later.

To launch employees later, you will need to log in to GoalSpan. Select Email Notifications and the New Account tab. Select all employee names by clicking on the checkbox at the top of the table. Click Save. 

If you would like to launch future employees automatically, click Integration under the main menu in GoalSpan and check the Launch account.

How do I enable single sign-on?

With the integration enabled, log in to BambooHR. On Home, go to the Links widget and click Manage to add a new link.

Select Add Link and title your link as GoalSpan or something similar.

In the Link URL field, type the following link (https://www.goalspan.com/bamboo.php?company=) and add your BambooHR subdomain. For example, if your BambooHR login URL is https://helpcontent.bamboohr.com, your subdomain would be helpcontent. You would type https://www.goalspan.com/bamboo.php?company=helpcontent in the Link URL box.

Click Save. Single sign-on will now be enabled.

To access your GoalSpan account, click on the new GoalSpan link in the Links widget on Home.
