Microsoft Single Sign-On

How does Microsoft Single Sign-On Integrate with BambooHR?
Purpose: To help you understand what you can use Microsoft Single Sign-On for and how you can integrate it with BambooHR.
Microsoft Single Sign-On
Enabling the Microsoft Single Sign-On app in your BambooHR account will make it easy for users to access their BambooHR account using their existing Microsoft account login.
You can learn more about Microsoft Single Sign-On in BambooHR® Marketplace.
Once in BambooHR, navigate to Settings and select Apps. Find Microsoft Single Sign-On and click Install.

By default, your employees cannot log in with an email and password. If you still would like to give your employees that option, mark the box for Allow optional email & password login. Please note that using Microsoft Single Sign-On will disable our 2-Step Login. For this reason, we recommend leaving this box unchecked.
Click Install. Once installed, all users in your account can immediately log in to BambooHR via their Microsoft authentication.
Users will see one of two screens when they log in to their BambooHR account. This is depending on if the "Allow optional email & password login" option was selected during setup. Clicking Log in with Email and Password will allow them to enter in their credentials manually.

If the "Allow optional email & password login" option was selected in the setup, users will also have the ability to change their password once logged into their BambooHR account.
When the user selects Log in with Microsoft, they will be able to select their Microsoft account and enter in their Microsoft password.

Users will then have the option to stay signed in. If they select Yes, they will automatically be signed in the next time they click Log in with Microsoft.
If you are an existing customer using this integration, please be aware that BambooHR supports this integration.
