Google Single Sign-On

How does Google Single Sign-On Integrate with BambooHR?
Purpose: To help you understand how you can integrate Google Single Sign-On with BambooHR.
Google Single Sign-On
Enabling Google Single Sign-On makes it easy for employees to access their BambooHR account by using their existing Google account login.
You can learn more about Google Single Sign-On in BambooHR® Marketplace.
Once in BambooHR, navigate to Settings and select Apps. Find Google and click Install.

By default, your employees cannot log in with an email and password. If you still would like to give your employees that option, check the box next to "Allow employees to login with email and password, in addition to Google."
Click Install. Once installed, all users in your account can immediately log in to BambooHR via their Google authentication details.
Please note that if an employee logs in to an older version of the mobile app, they may still see an option to log in with an email and password (even if it is off). Once they enter their credentials, they will see an error message since this is disabled in your account. To resolve this error, the employee needs to update their BambooHR mobile app to the latest version in the App Store.

To log in with Google, you will need to log in to your Google Mail account. Go to your BambooHR URL and click Log in with Google. If you do not allow your employees to log in with an email and password, they will not see that option on the login screen.
Please note that Google Single Sign-On extends to the BambooHR mobile app so that users can log in to the app by using single sign-on through Google.
If you are an existing customer using this integration, please be aware that BambooHR supports this integration.
