Translate Custom Fields and List Values

How can I translate my custom fields and list values?

Purpose: To teach you how to add translations for custom fields and list values to provide a better BambooHR experience for your employees who speak other languages.

We translate standard fields in BambooHR on our end. However, you can add translations to your list values or custom fields and tabs (Advantage package) by going to Settings, clicking Account, and then selecting Translations.

To add translations to your list values or custom fields and tabs, follow these steps:

  1. Select the desired language from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click on a tab to display its field translation options.
  3. Translate any needed tab names.
  4. You will see this icon if a field is a dropdown list. Click on the icon to add a translation for each list option.

The red dot alerts you of any needed translations in the corresponding tab.

If you do not have Translations under the Account section in Settings, please contact our Customer Support team to have this feature added for you.
