How does GoalSpan Integrate with BambooHR?

How do I Enable the GoalSpan Integration?

Login to your GoalSpan account and click "Integration" from the main menu.

Enter your BambooHR login URL. Do not include “https://”. So if my URL is https://helpcontent.bamboohr.com, then my URL would be helpcontent.bamboohr.com.

Uncheck "Launch account" if you do not want to immediately launch all your employee's accounts and any new account added after the integration.

Click "Save" and you will immediately be taken to your BambooHR account login page. Once you log in, you will be redirected back to GoalSpan where a connection is established and you are automatically assigned an API key.

Employee data from BambooHR will automatically sync with GoalSpan shortly after the connection is made. After the initial connection, data will sync every 15 minutes.


What is Launch Account?

Enabling launch account means that every time a new employee is added to BambooHR, they'll automatically be added to GoalSpan and receive an email to log in to their GoalSpan account.

If you would like to connect to BambooHR and get GoalSpan setup before launching employees, you will need to manually launch these employees later.

To launch employees later you will need to login to GoalSpan. Select "Email Notifications" and the "New Account" tab. Select all employee names by clicking the checkbox at the top of the table. Then select "Save" at the bottom of the page.

If you would like future employees to be automatically launched, click "Integration" under the main menu in GoalSpan and check "Launch account".

How do I Enable Single Sign-On?

Once the integration is enabled, login to BambooHR. On Bamboo Home, go to the Links widget and click "Manage" to add a new link.

Select "Add Link". Then title your link "GoalSpan" or something similar.

In the Link URL field, type the following link (https://www.goalspan.com/bamboo.php?company=) and add your BambooHR subdomain. For example, if your BambooHR login URL is https://helpcontent.bamboohr.com, then your subdomain would be "helpcontent". So you would type https://www.goalspan.com/bamboo.php?company=helpcontent in the Link URL box.

Click "Save". Single sign-on will now be enabled.

To access your GoalSpan account, simply click the new GoalSpan link in the Links widget on Bamboo Home.
