How does Google Single Sign-On Integrate with BambooHR?
Purpose: To help you understand how you can integrate Google Single Sign-On with BambooHR.
Enabling Google Single Sign-On makes it easy for employees to access their BambooHR account using their existing Google account login.
You can learn more about Google Single Sign-On in BambooHR's Marketplace.
Once in BambooHR, navigate to Settings and select "Apps." Find Google and click "Install."
Be default, your employees will not be able to login with an email and password. If you'd like to still give your employees that option, check the box for "Allow employees to login with email and password, in addition to Google."
Click "Install." Once installed, all users in your account will immediately be able to log into BambooHR by virtue of their Google authentication.
Please note that if an employee is logging into an older version of the mobile app, they may still see an option to log in with an email and password even if it is turned off. Once they enter their credentials, they will see an error message since this is disabled on your account. To resolve this error, the employee will need to update their BambooHR Mobile App to the latest version in the app store.
To log in with Google, you will need to be logged into your Google mail account. Then navigate to your BambooHR URL and click "Log in with Google." If you do not allow your employees to log in with an email and password, they will not see that option on the login screen.
Please note that Google Single Sign-On does extend to BambooHR's mobile app so users will be able to log into the app using single sign-on through Google.
